Swiss made Rolex replica watches dating from the early 1960s and described as “extremely rare” could fetch tens of thousands at auction.
The best UK fake watches was brought in for valuation at the Carmarthen office of Rogers Jones and Co Auctioneers and Valuers and goes under the hammer at their Cardiff auction on Saturday, July 16.
Charles Hampshire at Rogers Jones and Co said: “It came to us from a private collector in north Carmarthenshire and has been catalogued into our upcoming premium ‘Selections and Collections’ auction with an estimated sale price between £15,000 and £20,000.
It is a very rare gents’ high quality replica Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master stainless steel bracelet wristwatches that dates from circa 1959 or 1960.
It is listed as model 1675, featuring pointed crown guards, a fuchsia bezel, gloss gilt chapter ring dial with light ‘spidering’ design.
Mr Hampshire added: “The perfect copy watches belonged to the current vendor’s late husband and before that his father who is believed to have owned it from new, consigned via our Carmarthen Office.
“The sheer originality of this rare cheap Rolex super clone watches, I have to admit, took my breath away when I first laid eyes upon it.
He added: “Not only is it an extremely early iteration of the luxury Rolex GMT-Master fake watches, it also boasts its original dial which has a beautiful amount of natural wear often referred to as ‘spidering’ and a glorious and colourful fuchsia bezel.
“The fact it has been in the same family believed from new gives it excellent provenance and I expect the vintage 1:1 wholesale Rolex replica watches collectors to be out in force come sale day.”
